SYDNEY:

German electonic music pioneers and David Bowie inspiration, Kraftwerk have announced shows for the Sydney VIVID Festival. They will play their catalogue of eight albums across four days. More info here


IGGY, ZIGGY, SIGGY May 24, 2013

MELBOURNE:

If you missed Georgia Fields performing The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars (exclusively arranged for string quartet) this last summer at Pure Pop records - here is another chance.

The album is again performed by Georgia but better still, it appears as part of a trio of classic album revivals....

The Need Somebodies (Harry Howard, Edwina Preston and Cam Butler) will perform Raw Power by Iggy Pop and The Stooges while Duke Batavia will perform Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel.

All of this takes place at The Flying Saucer Club in Elstenwick. $27 for reserved seating, $20 for general admission.

The movie appears as part of a trio of films dedicated to director Tony Scott who tragically died in August. The other Scott movies being shown at The Rooftop are Beverley Hills Cop 2 (Jan 17) and True Romance (Jan 15).
